TODAY Show comes to Airlie Beach!

Set your TV to Channel 9 on Wednesday 1st of June from 6-9am for a live broadcast from the foreshore of Airlie Beach! Tomorrow for the first time ever, the entire Today show team will be live in the Whitsundays. The whole news crew of the popular breakfast news show, including anchors Karl Stefanovic and Lisa Wilkinson, will be right here in the Whitsundays.
We are looking forward to seeing all our favourites, including Sylvia Jeffreys, Richard Wilkins, Tim Gilbert, Steven Jacobs, David Campbell and Sonia Kruger too.
Locals and visitors are invited to join the fun by the beach along the Esplanade from 6 – 9am.
The first live sport report at 6.10am from Tim Gilbert, will be filmed on board a luxurious Leopard 44 sailing catamaran. Tim will keep you up to date on you all the latest in sport, including everything you need to know about first State of Origin game on June 1st!
We know they’ll love the beautiful, warm autumn weather of the Whitsundays that we're having. It's so cold in Sydney at the moment! Here in the Whitsundays, the weather is still giving us highs of 26°C every day.
Now, autumn and winter, is actually the best season to go bareboating. The weather is perfect, the waterways aren’t crowded, and there are some good specials on bareboat hire. Soon the whales will be migrating north to the Whitsundays seeking warmer water, and you should too!
Anyone can go bareboating. Many people don't realise, you don’t even need a licence, all you need is some boating experience and a sense of adventure!
We welcome the Today show to the Whitsundays, and hope they all get the opportunity to go bareboating with us around the Whitsunday islands soon!
